… specializes in workshops, private and group classes in Egyptian style folk and Saidi dance, finger cymbals, and essential Arabic words and phrases, all aimed at enabling dancers to hear the music and become one with the music.  Leyla has taught finger cymbals for dancers at Ahlan Wa Sahlan Festival<\/strong> in Cairo, Egypt 2006-2009 and again in 2014-2019. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

At home, in the San Francisco Bay Area, she coordinates two monthly open stage dancer nights in two of the Area’s notable Middle Eastern restaurants. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

She has produced a music CD “Golden Days Enchanting Nights”<\/strong> <\/a>recorded almost entirely in Cairo, and an instructional DVD “Habibi, You Are My… WHAT?! Essential Arabic for Dancers – Volume 1”<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to her performing and teaching accomplishments, Leyla has created an instructional DVD based on her popular workshop on essential Arabic words and phrases for dancers <\/strong>“Habibi, You Are My… WHAT?! Essential Arabic for Dancers – Volume 1.”<\/strong> <\/a>This DVD is available as a DVD. She has also produced a music CD in Egypt, “Golden Days Enchanting Nights,”<\/a> featuring a dance piece composed by Hassan Abou el Seoud.<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n
